At a "Handover" buffet lunch, held in the Chartridge Park Golf Club on 1st July 2007, retiring Amersham & Chesham Lions Club President Mike Michael handed over the presidency to Lion Tony Johns. New president Tony Johns, in his speech, thanked the Club members who had agreed to serve with him in the coming year and, in addition to their charitable work, sought the Amersham & Chesham Lions Club members' support for his chosen charities:- (1) The Pepper Foundation, a local charity which, since its formation in 1993, has so far supported 500 local ill children with full time nurses in Bucks. and Herts. (2) Bucks Association for the Blind; who need funds in addition to the volunteer driving provided by the Club's members.
